As the weather slowly turns warmer our wardrobe selections start to shift. We can't jump right into our summer outfits, so we have to incorporate those season transitioning pieces. Shabby Apple has a great selection of spring pieces that will brighten your mood, suit the work environment style, and will have you feeling oh so Spring-y!

Shabby Apple

1. Floral Prints

Skirts, dresses, blouses, if you're looking for a lovely floral spring item, you'll find one (or maybe quite a few) at Shabby Apple! I personally love this Country Dame Skirt; it's lightweight, high-waisted, fitted but still a little bit flow-y and is a good length for the office.

2. Lightweight Sweaters

If you're celebrating St. Patrick's Day this weekend, you'll want to go all out in ridiculous St. Patrick's attire; those crazy hats, catchy t-shirts, bright green socks, etc. But that type of attire won't float the boat for work come Monday morning. So to avoid those pinches for not wearing green, here are a few ways to incorporate the St. Patrick's Day spirit into your work style!

St. Patricks 3.13.14 Certified Fabulous

1. Bright Green Tailored Pants:

If you want to go bold with green, opt for some birght green pants! However stick to a tailored cut to keep them classy enough for work (bright green skinnies most likely won't make the dress code cut). You can also try a bright green blazer!

Soft & Pretty

Valentines Soft and Pretty

Just because it's Valentine's Day, that does not mean you HAVE to wear red. You can still dress up for your date in delicate colors and create a lovely Valentine's look. If you want a more subtle, soft, pretty style, try this Viva Skirt from Nasty Gal and a cute black peplum tank top for added sexiness. Nude nails help create a polished and classy attitude while keeping the attention on the rest of your knockout style. You can easily achieve those nude nails by using the LAQA & CO. Birthday Suit Nail Polish Pen - easy application with this polish pen and you'll love the look! These Mona earrings from Shadow House offer soft shades of color that effortlessly compliment the skirt and add some sparkle to this outfit. A shoe with a little more pink color reminds you that it is in fact Valentine's day while staying within your soft color palette - a bold color will take this outfit in a different direction. And because it is winter, I was getting cold just looking at this outfit, so I included this jacket from SheInside! It looks so warm & cozy and adds an edge to this otherwise soft style.

Now after you have bought your beautiful Christmas tree, you'll want to decorate it! Bake cookies, have some eggnog and dig out those ornaments! For a festive and comfortable style for this cheery tradition, Jessica wore a soft sweater with rose gold sparkle. An added rose gold necklace and headband complete this decorative outfit - after all, the tree can't have all the sparkle ;)

Winter clothes can sometimes have you feeling a bit bulky with all those layers. So we thought we would add in a simple "posh" winter look that will have you feeling sophsitcated and cozy. For Linnea's posh winter look, she chose a white chenille sweater with a bright statement necklace. She paired this with a simple black skirt & black tights. The necklace really makes the white sweater stand out and creates a simple but strong style!

What are your favorite posh winter looks?

Sunday Brunch is a good time. You're relaxed, eating good food, perhaps recovering from a fun night on the town. To show your chic fashion sense and stay relaxed for brunch, a shirtdress is a great option! You won't feel underdressed but will still maintain a casual and comfortable approach. Ethica's Long Button-Up Shirtdress is cut so well that it hangs perfectly on your frame, allowing for a polished and sophisticated look. The light blue color will also suit your calm sunday morning mood!

Stylish sweaters are a must have for the winter (especially if you live somewhere with weather like Maine). Finding chic sweaters is not that difficult if you know what you're looking for. A flattering, fitted cut with a polished material will usually get you to a chic sweater! I love long sweaters with a cowl-neck collar; the sweater carries the outfit on it's own with a style like this and it's very warm! Pair the sweater with dark jeans or leggings for a simple & stylish winter outfit. You can also easily dress your sweater up with some statement accessories!
