Take advantage of gift sets!  People, especially women think of Gift sets, solely for what they are SoapGlory totemeant for gifts for other people.  But Gift sets and travel kits can be an amazing way to get to know a brand with out having the purchase full size products of the entire line.

I have found some of my most favorite products through gift sets.  Where there is just enough product to try it for a week or 2... and then decide.  Yes I love it, I am going back for more... or what else is out there... Is there something else better suited for me????

Paul-Joe-Holiday-2012-Makeup-Collection-Promo1Most brands choose at least one or two of their best products to put in these sets, and then they always add on things that you should try but may not have thought to purchase... make sure to all the products in the sets. You already have them, why not.  I got a set with a type of mask I usually do not buy... it is a powder form and you have to mix it yourself... But it ended up being really cool.  I tried with with the cleanser from the set and really liked it.  Now I am rethinking some other masks that I have passed on before... I may give them a try too in 2013.

So if you were super lucky this year and got gift certificates for cosmetics or skin care...   Go for a gift set or travel kit...  your value will be there!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hello to all you fabulous Fabbers!  'Tis the season for traveling, right?  Even if it's just for a weekend Americans like to travel around the holidays.  I was involved in an interesting conversation one time in the Las Vegas airport as my girlfriend and I watched a young girl roll out of an arriving flight in practically her pajamas and almost right behind her was a woman dressed like she was going to meet the president.  It used to be that traveling, either my plane, train or automobile, you dressed to impress.  Now I do understand that due to regulations of practically getting naked in front of security doens't help, but really? PJ's?  What happened to our society where comfort took over looking our best? Can't we have both?

Well I have a little treasure that will help ease any layover.  It's light, small and fits in just about any carry-on.  It's from one of my favorite companies, Benefit Cosmetics.  Their She's So Jetset make up kit is perfect for any quick fix.  Even for a, "oops, I over slept and have to get ready on the way to work" kinda fix.  It geniously comes with their Pore Fessional, 4 natural colored eye shadows, 2 tones of blush, a sheer lip gloss and mascara, oh and 2 applicators too.  I love the colors that they have chosen, especially with the eye shadows because they can double for an eye liner.  With this little secret weapon, you'll keep people guessing how long your layover really was.

Here are a couple more beauty secrets for traveling...

1. Tie your hair in a scarf to combat bad hair at the end of a long flight -- make it a Hermes to add extra glamour.
