Holiday Lips & Nails...A Look of Sweet Delirium!
Stocking Stuffer Alert!
The holiday season is upon us, and the social calendar gets to be crazy!! I am usually quite understated in my style (I’m sure some would think this is an understatement), but when committed to various social events I try to make an effort. I am blessed with naturally strong and shapely nails, so an at-home manicure is a quick way for me to dress it up, and how much effort is a layer of lip gloss?? These two products are my go-to’s when I need a little dressing up, and I have two essentials I love this month.
Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb Ultra Plush Lip Gloss is a great lip gloss. I really like the soft squeeze tube, which isn’t messy in the least. I find that sometimes a wand in bottle creates a bit of a mess, but Benefit really got it right with this beautiful little tube. The custom designed tip makes application super easy. The fragrance of this gloss is really amazing, such a pleasant aroma. The shade “sugar bomb” is a really nice nude/pinky shade, which is pretty without being too dramatic. This gloss applies nicely, it is smooth and not at all sticky or tacky. I thought that the color lasted for a good amount of time for a lip gloss. I did not have to reapply as often as one might, although the fragrance and feel of this wonderful gloss makes me reach for it time and time again.
Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Delirium is one of the nicest nail lacquers I have ever used. The bottle and closure is super cool and trendy, the deco-inspired bottle makes for an easy grip, I was able to open the new bottle easily, even after applying a super rich hand cream. I chose Delirium because I love purple, so it was an obvious choice. I wasn’t expecting how electric this bright purple would look once it dried. Its super striking, and I received compliments every day while wearing it. This lacquer is super shiny when dry, I skipped the top coat because the shine was amazing. The high-gloss formula is also completely chip resistant. After a week I noticed the color waning, but not due to chipping (probably would’ve lasted longer with the recommended top coat). I can’t wait to try Ruffian Nail lacquer in other shades, I was so impressed by Ruffian!!
Enjoy the Season!
