Lotions will become a very crucial aspect of our skincare routine as the weather continues to turn cooler and harsher. If you go to your local CVS, Target, grocery store etc., and stand in the lotion aisle, a whole wall of lotion options will be staring at you. While it's great to have a large selection to choose from, it's important to know what you're looking for so that you walk out of the store with the type of product you want. I usually stand there reading the back of each product that looks like a good option for me...this can take a while. So my other option is to do a little research before and know what brand I want to get. You don't want to buy something only to go home, really examine it, and discover it's not exactly what you wanted. So if you are in the market for an organic body lotion, I hope this review will help you with your selection process.

Avalon Organics has a range of body lotions to choose from to suit your preferences. In order to avoid harsh chemicals from being absorbed into the body through the skin, Avalon Organics body care products do not contain parabens, other harsh preservatives, mineral oil, sulfates, propylene glycol, artificial colors or synthetic fragrances. These products do contain 70% organic content. What's also great is that they have a wide selection of fragrances each containing soothing ingredients to relieve and nourish dry skin.

I recently tried the Avalon Organics Rosemary Hand & Body Lotion. The rosemary essential oil stimulates, purifies and invigorates dry and tired skin. My hands especially have been looking and feeling a little tired, but with the other stellar ingredients such as Vitamin E, Safflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, and Beta Glucan (active ingredient in oats) this lotion left my skin feeling thoroughly nourished and hydrated. I felt good using this product knowing that I wasn't rubbing in harmful ingredients all over my body and instead had a decent understanding of what the product contains and almost just as important, what it doesn't contain (harmful ingredients). If you're looking for a product with certified organic ingredients, for a natural, safe product, give Avalon Organics a try.
