This summer is flying by but there is plenty of time left to have BBQs and fun in the sun. I recently got to try some great products that are sure to spice up your BBQ with amazing flavors. I’m a big fan of trying new marinades and methods of marinate on food as well as new drink recipes to keep cool in the sun.

I recently tried Sauza Blue Agave Tequila which has amazing taste because they mill and steep their agaves prior to
cooking the juices to extract the most natural, fresh, crisp agave flavor as possible. If you are looking for a few drink recipes here are some great easy summer choices

Mange Fruit VinegarsAnother must have for the BBQ is Fresh Fruit Vinegars by Mange. This is a product I have to say I will always keep in stock in my house because it has so many uses and taste amazing. As Mange website says it can make many dishes “flavorsome”! If you don’t have ideas for what you want to use these products for, their website list food and drink recipes. Whether you are having steak, chicken, pork chops or salad their site has a recipe for you. The flavor that these add is amazing! I had the pleasure of trying the Pear, Blackberry, Red Pepper and Cherry Fruit Vinegars, there are 11 different kinds you can try and if you’re not sure what you want to try you can get a sampler pack of them all. To check out all their great recipes and Fruit Vinegars click HERE I found some great salad recipes to use with these that are perfect for a summer BBQ and spices things up a bit. Sometimes I find at BBQs we have the same old boring dishes and this really helped add some different color and flavor.
Tonguespank 3 spices resized

Lastly I need to talk about Tonguespank Spice Company. I love the name I think it is great. I only had the pleasure of trying a few of their spices but I enjoyed them. They are nice and strong so for me a little went a long way. Tonguespank has liquor infused dry hot sauces I tried the Citrus Rum table blend, Smoky Bourbon Table blend and Garlic Grappa Table blend.

If you are going to be cooking seafood or pork the Cirtus Rum Table blend is great. It combines three different citrus fruits with spiced rum and cloves. It also has a dash of habanero heat to give you that Tonguespank experience. If you are cooking eggs burgers or grilling veggies the Smoky Bourbon Table blend is fantastic! It also works great in a beef jerky merinade. I usually use a little jalopeno juice in mine and I replaced that with this spice and it adds a entire new level of hot to the jerky.  But I will warn if you don’t like heat this might not be the right spice for you. It has great flavor with the chipotle peppers with bourbon and garlic but it also has slow habanera – and ghost burn that builds as long as your eating. It is a pretty intense spice but I enjoyed it. The Garlic Grappa Table blend is a blend of Tuscan herbs, balsamic vinegar, Italian brandy blend and habanero chilli. If you are looking to add some spice to your italian dish or even maranara sauce this will sure do it for you. All of these spices are very hot and will add a big kick to any meal.  So if you are looking for something hot with a big kick definitely try Tonguespank spices.
